Chevy Adds Corvette & Silverado to Chevy Fountain
Chevrolet has been the official vehicle of Major League Baseball for some time now and is the sponsor of the Chevrolet Fountain that is mounted behind centerfield in Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers. In order to add to the already elaborate Chevy display and support the Detroit team, which is the Chevy hometown, the brand selects two special Chevy models to be added to the display each year.
For the 2015 season, the brand has selected a Midnight Edition Silverado and a Velocity Yellow Corvette Z06. Both models were recently added by a crane in a process that took a total of three hours in order to ensure that the two model were securely in place.
“As the Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball, what better way could Chevrolet show our love of the game than by giving our vehicles a bird’s eye view of our hometown team?” asked Paul Edwards, vice president, Chevrolet marketing. We like to think of these vehicles as the Chevrolet cheering section to drive those centerfield home runs.”
